Kick off the season with us in San Carlos! Lintika will be freshly splashed and ready to cross the Sea of Cortez back to Baja. This 10 day trip could be of special interest to those who want to learn more about what it looks like to keep a boat on the hard during hurricane season, and what annual boat work we do to maintain Lintika. Although you won't be actively participating in the yard period, it is the perfect timing to review the projects and logistics associated with boat ownership.
We will likely spend a day or two at an anchorage on the mainland side of Mexico, while waiting for the best weather window to do an overnight passage across the Sea of Cortez to Bahia Conception. This is one of our FAVORITE bays of Baja for beautiful mountain ranges, quirky communities, and natural hot springs. After a day or two exploring Conception, the crew will sail Lintika South to either anchor outside of Loreto (if conditions permit), or 30km South in Puerto Escondido.
Every trip is designed to give a generous window of time to pick the best weather for sailing conditions. This means that outside of sailing, a portion of the trip will also be dedicated to experiencing the cruisers lifestyle by snorkeling, paddle boarding, relaxing at anchor or exploring the cultural hubs that Mexico has to offer.
The trip includes your personalized instructions, accommodations aboard including all food and bev., safety equipment, and course materials. We ask students to board Lintika by 12pm the first day the course begins.
Temps in November range from a high of 84°F to a low of 63°F.
