Learn to plan an execute an overnight offshore passage from Baja to San Carlos on mainland Mexico. This adventure is perfect for sailors eager to lose sight of land, build confidence at sea, and dive into best practices for night watch, offshore navigation, and passage-making.
Fly into Loreto/LTO (the easiest airport in Baja!), and join Lintika just South in Puerto Escondido. Delve into our 'Offshore Workbook' to learn about all the best practices needed to run a Blue Water Boat. As a crew you'll do a deep dive in weather, and work as a crew to pick the best navigation strategy to sail North of Loreto before making the overnight crossing from the Baja Peninsula to San Carlos on mainland Mexico. Because this wraps up our season this course could be a particular interest to those interested in owning a Bluewater boat and the logistics associated with hauling out for hurricane season.
The trip includes your personalized instruction, accommodations aboard including all food and bev., safety equipment, and course materials. We ask students to board Lintika by 12pm the first day the course begins.
