What to Expect at Stay Salty

Stay Salty is more than a charter, and more than a sailing course. It's a week of real catamaran cruising with experienced mentors, a small community of adventurous sailors, and a place where learning is always available but never expected. As Cruisers Academy's flagship catamaran program, this flotilla brings our community together each year to explore a handpicked collection of the world's most spectacular cruising destinations.

Each day, our Cruisers Academy skippers carefully choose the best route based on the weather, tides, and conditions, and along the way we'll share the "why" behind every decision so you gain a deeper understanding of cruising seamanship.

Sailing eye-to-eye with a small flotilla of catamarans through some of the clearest water on Earth is a feeling that's hard to describe, and one we're excited to share with you.

Why sail with
Cruisers Academy?

Behind Cruisers Academy are co-founders Brady and Blue, sailors with more than 135,000 nautical miles of combined experience sailing around the world. After a decade living aboard full time, they built one of the industry's leading hands-on sailing schools, helping thousands of aspiring sailors turn the dream of cruising into reality.

Brady brings decades of offshore sailing, weather expertise, and calm leadership to every trip, offering personalized coaching and the kind of practical seamanship that only comes from a lifetime at sea.

Blue is the creative force behind Cruisers Academy, thoughtfully designing each experience, from the trip logistics and guest communication to the countless details that make every adventure feel unforgettable.

Together, they've built more than a sailing school, they've built a community of sailors who believe the best way to learn is by doing. Stay Salty is where those lessons leave the classroom behind and come to life under sail, set against one of the most spectacular cruising grounds on Earth.

Getting to Nassau

The Stay Salty adventure begins in Nassau, the capital of the Bahamas and our gateway to the spectacular Exuma island chain. From pristine white-sand beaches to secluded anchorages and crystal-clear waters, this region is truly a sailor's paradise.

We recommend arriving in Nassau no later than May 8, 2027, as our flotilla runs from May 9–16, 2027. Arriving the day before will give you time to settle in, relax, and be ready for our adventure!

✈️ Fly into Lynden Pindling International Airport (NAS) in Nassau.

🚕 Take a taxi or arrange transportation to Palm Cay Marina.

⛵ Board your catamaran the morning of Sunday May 9,2027  and get ready to explore the Exumas!

We'll be disembarking the boats on the morning of Sunday May 16, 2027 which gives you the option to catch a flight home that day or extend your Bahamian adventure with a few extra nights ashore.

Before your trip, we'll provide a detailed travel guide, recommended hotels, flight suggestions, marina details, and personalized support to help make planning your journey as smooth and stress-free as possible.
